VIP protection for entrepreneurs and managers: when and how to arrange it
Personal protection is not just for celebrities and politicians. In 2026, Czech entrepreneurs, chief executives and senior managers are increasingly choosing it, people who realise that their safety affects the security of the entire company.
When does a businessperson need a personal bodyguard?
Not every manager requires permanent protection. However, there are situations where professional protection is not only sensible but necessary:
Increased risk:
- Media-exposed personality (interviews, public appearances, TV)
- Disputes with business partners or competitors
- Threats from dismissed employees
- Movement in high-risk foreign destinations
One-off events:
- Cash or valuables transport
- Pay day at a large company
- Representation in court proceedings
- High-profile negotiations or acquisitions
Regular security services:
- Daily routine of a CEO with a public profile
- Family deployments in response to long-term elevated risk
- Security for business premises or private residences
What does a professional bodyguard do?
An experienced personal protection officer (bodyguard) is not just a “big guy by your side”. His work begins long before the client leaves home:
- Advance reconnaissance: survey of the visit location, identification of escape routes and potential threats
- Risk assessment: evaluation of specific threats to the client (online analysis, situational context)
- Close protection: physical presence and reactive protection during movement.
- Driver protection: transport in an armoured or tactically equipped vehicle
- Communication, coordination with local police, rescue services or other team members
How much does VIP protection cost in Prague?

| Long-term retainer (1 bodyguard, 5 days/week) | from 80 000 Kč/month |
| Protective team (2-3 persons, 24/7) | from 250 000 Kč/month |
